In the US, CNN is marketing the British royal wedding as an event to watch or DVR starting at 4am Eastern. Looks like they recognize many people aren't getting up in the middle of the night to watch. At the same time, it feels kind of like watching a sporting even later. Too much in the news to avoid. At least with a wedding, we know how it ends.

Well, usually. The exceptions are probably much more common in fiction than in real life.
Still, I think the royal wedding could use more drama and suspense. Perhaps if they include the "if anyone here knows any reason these two should not be joined in wedlock" line? Or they could have multiple suitors fight a duel or something beforehand. That could be fun. Heck, they could make a whole reality series out of it: Who Wants To Marry Into The Royal Family?
I have heard that NBC is cutting back on the wedding coverage because the couple is "too boring". My wife spent about 20 minutes picking shows to record over the next week or so (although she even admits she will not watch all of them....probably).
I remember getting up for Charles and Diana's wedding. I'm sure I'll skip this one, and NOT watch all the coverage.

I do not care about the dynastic activities of the jug-eared inbred Saxe-Coburg and Gotha family. The last two big weddings from that family have not established much positive expectations for this one.
Jeanne, do you mean "how a wedding ends" or "how a marriage ends". A wedding typically ends with a reception and followed by a honeymoon. A marriage ends in various ways. It is like hitting a lotto jackpot to find a "perfect" match. People do not divorce simply accept and live with the mistake they made.
The only common thing between the Royal wedding and an Indian wedding is---the wedding suit of Prince Williams was the same as our Band Baja Walas(The orchestra people).
Please Don't Mind. I got a text and i am just re-sharing it.
