This week's book giveaway is in the Performance forum. We're giving away four copies of The Java Performance Companion and have Charlie Hunt, Monica Beckwith, Poonam Parhar, & Bengt Rutisson on-line! See this thread for details.
I've been trying to run tomcat 6 with eclipse galileo, I allready installed the tomcat (throw the window->preferences) with jdk and Ican create a servlet without any problem.
After re-installing and changing the server to "use tomcat installation" it still gives me the 404 error - "The requested resource () is not available". I've been searching the net for days and nothing helped (the web xml is defined as it should - added below)
Another thing is that the error doesn't give the servlet path but an empty () - maybe this is the root for the problem?
The only thing that happened as a result from all the redefinitions is that before it when I ran the server it opened the local host window in eclipse and now it doesn't.
The defualt page of tomcat is running so I'm guessing it's not the problem..
Do you have any suggestions for solving this problem? I'm about to give up..
And do you know how to make eclipse to show the tomcat window again?
The project name is again, the package is guessingGame and the servlet name is gameControl
