When I first started on the cattle drive, it was a bit hard dealing with the critiques. I found myself flinching involuntarily when I opened my email, wondering if it would be yet another little dagger into my soul, so to speak. But do you know what is far worse? Being ignored. Being reminded by the deafening silence of just how insignificant and unimportant we are. I've come to long for those little nitpicking missives, and I hope that one day they will resume...
(By the way, I meant to write A nitpicker is a cruel mistress -- I don't want to seem like I'm singling anyone out. The problem appeared to be a logistical matter.)
