Hi,

I would like to know what is the recommended UML tool that can be used for part 2.

I am going to use either StarUML or VisualParadigm For UML - both free and pretty good

You can try Astah(previously known as jude).
Make sure that there is no watermark generated by the tool(some of the tools which are commercial-there community version does generate the watermark).
Visual paradigm is very good - one can create animation out of the sequence diagram also. Far better then free or open source tools.

Can i use Visual Paradigm Community Edition.Will it generate any watermark symbols?

it adds "Visual Paradigm for UML Community Edition (not for commercial use)" at the top of the diagram, I can't see this being a problem...
