Can someone suggest ways to learn Eclipse effectively ? Any good books for beginners who want to learn eclipse ?

Eclipse itself provides a nice help and cheatsheets to start off with and for grasping of
concepts.

Furthermore you can check

vogella.de- Contains lot of Eclipse tutorials written in a simplest possible way.

And also my blog contains fair amount of Eclipse related information.

Eclipse's help system (Help / Help Contents) also contains a lot of information on how to use Eclipse.
