This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I'm writing a webapp to show some statistical graphs. I'm using jfreecharts and jfreechart servlet utilities to open the response outputstream and write the png so that the browser can show it in an img tag.
Everithing is working fine. I can see the graphs I want inside the browser and also print the page.
However I started with jfreecharts 1.0.1 jar (a collegue gave me) and then switched to jfreecharts 1.0.16 (latest release as far as i know): everithing still works but if I try to right click the image in the browser and save it (save image as...) the saved image does not show. But it did work in jfree 1.0.1
When was this modification introduced (I mean since what version)? Is there a workaround to keep using 1.0.16 and to be able to right-click save the generated png?
I am aware of the utilities to save the image on disk in jfree but do not want to use those (many users will create charts dinamically). Just want to give them the option to save the images from their browser.
Thank you in advance for the help
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
