Yes. Part 3 is taken in any testing center so you need a slot.

I came to know that Prometric will no more be the official Testing center for any Java Certification after 31 May 2011. New testing center is Pearson Vue. Hope I will get the slot for my part 3 in july.
does any one has info, how can I registered for part one in June? If prometic won't offer the exam then what is the alternative?

One need to take either of above exam to fulfill pre-condition to take SCEA. I am SCJP & SCJD, then why I need to attend such or from rest of other two.
if it is version issue & SCJP 6 is one of mandatory then, what if I take SCJP 6 and then attend SCEA.
paying 300$ for SCJP is better option for me compare to attend 2500$ Oracle's SCJP course.
Java, Oracle Solaris, MySQL and Other Former Sun Certification Exam Registrations Soon Available At Pearson VUE
Effective May 16, 2011, Pearson VUE will begin taking registrations for Java, Oracle Solaris, MySQL, and NetBeans certification exams.
Can someone please let me know how can I find available slots? I can see center locator but not able to find link for available slot checking.
