Effective June 1, 2011 Prometric will no longer deliver Oracle/Sun examinations?

I just got an email from Prometric. So from where we have to buy vouchers for Java certification now? I am in Pakistan.

Dear Candidate,

This message is to advise that effective June 1, 2011 Prometric will no longer deliver Oracle/Sun examinations.

In preparation for the termination, we have noticed that you have an Oracle/Sun examination scheduled after June 1st. As such, we are contacting you to see if you would like to reschedule your exam prior to June 1st. If you would like to reschedule your exam prior to June 1st, please visit www.prometric.com to obtain the contact details for your Regional Contact Center. If you have not contacted Prometric on or before May 31, 2011, Prometric will be required to cancel your appointment and you will need to contact another vendor to schedule a new appointment.

While we do our very best to avoid any disruption to the appointments, from time to time cancellation of an appointment is unavoidable. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you and wish to make the scheduling process as easy as possible.

Is this internationally or in US as well? I am in the process of studying for the exam and i was expected to register and take the exam between June 1st and July 1st 2011... Prometric is the only institution i knew that does the OCJP exams..(in US).

Although this is by no means advertised in neither the prometric site nor the pearson site, i can confirm that at least for the case of Greece,
the previously dates in June available in prometric are no longer there. Which means that the prometric's last dates are 31 of May, which is
in full alignment with the posts written here.
However, while the prometric site seems to indicate that the tests will stop in may 31, there is nothing from the pearson camp
that indicates that they are taking over... In short, in pearson site, there is no mention of OCPJP or SCJP ir even the keyword java returns some
results in japanese

So i am afraid of being left in the dry and not being able to take the exam at all... since i was planning to take the exam in late June.

Whats your advice?

I live in Greece and through prometric the final value of the voucher had been 238 EUR.
Now, Pearson website charges 238 EUR + VAT which sums up to 292 EUR !!

This is too high for an exam.

I am from Greece (apparently). And that is what i paid : 283 euros. VAT is not a ...... static final float variable you know! it varies depending on the specific area/service.

You can call any such educational center in Greece, who work with Prometric or Pearson Vue and ask them. They will say the same price.
