in self test i got only 60%

hi,
i have just started the preparation for scjp,and i am following K&B books but after studying the first chapter i got only 60% in self test(which is at end of the chapter).i am very upset,could i be able to clear the final exam???
please,tell me what should i do???

You say that you have just started studying. I have been studying for more than 5 months and only now am I feeling a bit confident of taking the exam. You need to go through the KB book thoroughly at least a couple of times (more if you have the time), write and play with lots of little code and do a bunch of mock tests before you can be confident of writing the exam and passing.
You are getting a bit ahead of yourself. Be patient. I would say that 60% is pretty good for your first attempt but you still have a ways to go.

Hi Rahul welcome to CodeRanch.

Rahul the self tests are much harder than the real exam. Most of the mock exams are designed to test your knowledge as much as they can. Generally people find the real exam very easy compared to mock exams. So don't be upset if you get low score on a mock exam. Study hard and you'll get good score on the exam...
