This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
I registered just a minute ago, but was reading along for a long time already. Just wanted to say, that I passed the SCJA today with 90%. I studied exclusively with Cameron MvKenzie's books (+ a strong computer sience background) and WhizLab and had no problems to pass and was absolutely clueless only twice
Thank you very, very much for this incredible entertaining and useful piece of literature history ;-)
However, I also have a quick question. Before taking the exam I had to sign an agreement not to publish anything I encountered on the exam. This is good - I appreciate this policy since it preserves the value of the SCJA (okay, OCJA) and prevents it from developing to a repeating-monkey-exam. My preparation for the SCJA exam heavily relied on a small HTML/PHP/MySQL-Project I used to enter SCJA-related questions in a database and from time to time I questioned myself with it, keeping my memory on its toes all the time.
And there are a lot of questions ... Each single problem or fact I missed at a question I found in one of Cameron's books or some free or commercial MockExam was answered with a handful of questions looking at this specific problem from different angles and perspectives (although not copying the questions in Cameron McKenzie's books). All adds up to roughly 500 questions and they - needless to say - helped me a lot. Now I wanted to publish those as a preparation aid for other going for this certification. Of course this application has no question from my actual exam but they are quite alike and many questions migh have been occured in the exam. Is it legal? I have read this agreement again online and it is quite fuzzy ... Any help really appreciated ... !

Hello Jan. Congratulations. I am planning on sitting the SCJA soon. My only problem is... i cant seem to find the SCJA on prometric website or on oracle website. I may be losing my mind but can you tell me how you booked yours?
The easy part was studying for the exam but booking it seems beyond my capabilities!!
