Hi!

these goes to the authors of "Pro CSS for High Traffic Websites",

CSS is a technology targeted to serve the HTML formating so,
Do you thing there would be a new version of CSS as we have now a new version of HTML?
With HTML5 we have new elements, wouldn't it be good if we could give format to this new elements as much as we used CSS to format the former HTML?

thanks in advance and congratulations for your book, I'm sure it's pretty good

Carlo

There are versions of CSS. Most modern is CSS3.

There is CSS3 which was announced along with HTML5. You can use usual CSS styling for the new elements in the HTML5. The new elements just give the semantic meaning. So you would style the <aside> element such that it comes on the side or the <nav> element such that it shows up as a navigation.

You can. CSS doesn't need to be updated when new elements are added to HTML. The same mechanisms work for all element types.
