Send object from applet to servlet

I have an object created in applet. And I want to send this object to a servlet. The applet and servlet codes is given below...
There is no exception, but the servlet code is not executed.

I believe that you need to call getResponseCode() or getInputStream() before the request is actually sent. You can ignore the return values.
