Hi,

I registered myself yesterday at Pearson as per new Oracle policy. My account is verified and activated at Pearson. I had cleared Part 1 and downloaded assignment from Prometric. But I do not see my details at Pearson and it's obvious that Pearson will not let me schedule Part 3 until the system has info about part 1 and part 2 downloads.

As per the new policy, we have to upload the assignment to Pearson (can't be sent by email anymore) but the system will require a voucher for that. Does anybody know, how to get the voucher transferred from Prometric to Pearson.

In my opinion, this is really a big crap introduced by Oracle at the time when everybody is focusing on the exam. Now, everybody needs to focus on the Oracle processes rather than Java.

Don't worry Rajan, almost everybody is facing the same issues.
Infact i did foresee some of these issues when i created this thread:

Introducing too many variables-first mandatory training and then Pearson over Prometric is just not good for people who are running against time(1st Aug 2011).

Rajan,

Oracle has very pain stakingly detailed all such facts in their FAQs. As detailed there, you would not be able to see the details of Prometric tests at Pearson since Oracle owns this data. Moreover, this data would be deleted from The Prometric database (certmanager) as well in due time.

So how do you get the previous Sun Certification details?

To view your previous test details you should (A) create an account at Pearson VUE and then (B) at http://certview.oracle.com, provide the Oracle Testing ID (which would be your prometic ID for people who have taken this earlier), Full Name, City etc. Please allow 2 days for the records to show up (I created my account today and I am not able to see my past SUN certification details either, so I am waiting too).

In one of the replies received from Pearson I learnt that all existing unused vouchers of Prometric have been migrated to Pearson and we may schedule an exam using that voucher number. In fact I tried that for Part-1 with the Prometric voucher I have (though I didn't actually schedule an exam yet) and it works.

You can send an email to pvapcustomerservice at pearson.com with the Voucher number and get a confirmation regarding that. I recently did the same for a Part-1 Prometric voucher that I had purchased in March 2011 and is valid till March 2012 and they confirmed back that the voucher is valid for Oracle exam 1Z0-864 and I can visit pearsonvue.com/oracle to schedule my exam.
