This week's book giveaway is in the OCPJP forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA/OCP Java SE 7 Programmer I & II Study Guide and have Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates on-line! See this thread for details.
I wonder IF and HOW you have implemented the help system within your application?....Did you make a Help-button somewhere which opens a TextArea, filled with the contents of the userguide.txt?? Or did you do a help-menu???
Or is it really enough just to provide the userguide.txt? I am afraid of losing points for the GUI, because every good GI has a help menu, but on the other hand the UrlyBird - GUI is sooo simple....;)
thanks a lot.....so, after I hear "good" news that Oracle wants us to attend course, I will also not implement the help any more....is that really true, that I have to take those courses when I dont finish completely before 1st August EVEN THOUGH I have already downloaded my UrlyBird 4 months ago???....i mean, thats not fair....i spend the 250$ or whatever it was on the basis that the overall costs would not be over a certain limit....but when the introduce these courses, they change the game completely...
One question: When I finish the urlybird, how quickly can i take the exam??.....Or in other words, when is the deadline to submit thee urlyBird in order to complete everything (including the exam) before the 1st August???.....
Please, do not cross post. I answered your questions in the other topic.
Submitting your assignment is just sending an email with the submission jar attached. And taking the essay exam can be done on the last day. So if you do both on July 30, you'll be fine. But I wouldn't wait that long, because it could be risky (unable to send e-mail, exam center cancels your exam,...)
