I don't have any direct examples of code to create such an application, but would recommend you try out Spring Roo - its Spring's RAD framework and can get you a pretty decent web app up in a pretty small amount of time, and it does all the boiler plate stuff for you.
Thanks for the response. What all are other variables out here? I am okay with DB like MySQL or HSQL but don't want any maven dependancies and doesn't want to learn too many other things....want to focus on Struts, spring, hibernate.

Well if you just want basic walkthroughs/tutorials there are plenty on google, although i cant vouch for the quality of any of them.
I dont know of any other RAD frameworks for Spring/Hibernate though (other than Grails, which I assume you wont want either) - any reason you don't want maven in the project?

I am a ANT lover.....whenever i tried a source code from books which has maven...it has never worked...i am ready to learn...provided i know some good book or tutorial for maven without any BS...something which talks to the point and get me ready in less than 4 hours.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
