I am still struggling with the assignment & trying hard to finish it whenever I am getting time and hopefully I will be done in by next Monday. I have already scheduled my part 3 on 31st and I am not sure what kind of preparation should be done for that? Can anybody please guide? Will it be totally based on what I have done in assignment or any additional preparation is required?

Part 3 is easy. They ask why you decided things in your design. For example why use the persistence framework or how you handled performance.

Hi Rajan

The part 3 questions are based on what you have either done or you should have considered in your assignment. The reason for the "should have considered" disclaimer is that it is possible that they will ask you a question about how your assignment handles something, and you might suddenly realize that your assignment does not handle it - this is not cause for panic, just be upfront and state that you did not handle it, and why you do not consider it a problem (or if you do consider it a problem, how you would mitigate it).

Part 3 is easy. 8 questions and 2 hours - around 15 minutes per question.
Make sure you are not repeating yourself as some of the questions are quite close to each other. There is no cut-copy-paste facility. Go thru the questions first and then decide what you need to write in where and then start writing.
I wrote a lot in part 3 - utilized full 2 hours.

Generally they try to access that:
it's you who have done the assignment

that's why questions are more or less like this:
1) why you used certain design patterns
2) why certain JEE components
3) How you handled session
4) How you have taken care of NFRs
5) external interfaces

you need to defend your design.
