This is a jumping spider that found its way onto my monitor.

I was once bit by a brown recluse spider. I had a big welt on my arm for six months. In those days I killed all spider and had to kill lots of flies and other bugs too. Now, I leave all jumping spiders and daddy long legs. They are safe to me, eat all the flies and bugs which makes me have nearly zero brown recluse food. So, a greatly reduced probability of brown recluse spiders.

I am actually afraid of all spiders (which is a bit pathetic considering I live in the UK and won't get anything near what some of you guys get).

I love this place!

But the spiders are nothing compared to the scorpions and centipedes!

And don't forget about the rattlers.

Of course, there are few of these seen within city limits. But I'm right on the outskirts and if I were to venture into undeveloped land, there might be a few of these around.

I hear those centipedes can pack quite a punch. In South Africa we had these critters we call Shongololos. They are a huge type of millipede. Usually they end up as roadkill :P
