How to read the javascript related values into the html page

i am design the login page,if successful login (after validations) then goes to the html new page and displays the user which is successfully loged in... the value in javascript is identified using
uname1="document.getElementById("uname")";
i want this uname value into the html page which displays......

hello +username+ welcome to out Board //////
this is my task ...

Lot of people do the validations server side.. but I assume from your question that you are validating client side in javascript ?

If you are doing so then how about creating a blank "div" and changing the innerHTML with the string value that you want using the getElementById() for that div.
