Given a situation that you need to pick any of these two languages, which one would you choose and why?

On a purely personal level, I'd pick Clojure because I don't really like Python syntax (and I know Clojure much better than Python).

Depends on the familiarity with the language, really.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
