How to remove deafult layout from template

Hi..

I am getting the issue while displaying ajax response in grails

I am doing the simple Ajax submit call to submit the form data using as below code

              <g:submitToRemote value="create user" url="[controller: 'user', action: 'saveUser']" update="row_error"/>

My action in controller class is as

    // This action will save the User in DB

        User user=new User()
        user.properties=params
        if(user.validate()) {
            if (params.password != params.confirm) {
                flash.error = "The passwords you entered do not match."
                render(template:"/common/errors", model:[instance:user])
            }
            else {
                user.save()
                flash.message="User Created Successfully with userId "+ user.userId
                redirect(action:'createContact', params:[user_id:user.userId])
            }
        }
        else {
            user.discard()
            render(template:"/common/errors", model:[instance:user])
        }
    }

You can see in action code aim rendering the template /common/errors/ where the i am rendering all the errors inside user instance. and i have the template code as below

The problem template code is coming with layout rendered code and updating the div as well, but it is appending the default layout I do not want. i just want to display the errors messages

Could somebody help please where i m doing wrong.
