Help on EJB 2.1 Entity

I have to maintain web application which using EJB entity. However, everything when we need to update the data in the database, we need to restart the application server to make the EJB entity bean to recongize the new data. Is it the correct way or there is some other way to do to refresh the data?

No. Once you close a transaction/start a new one, it should pick up the latest rows in the database.
