To address authentication & authorization requirements one can assume LDAP is the preferred store for keeping user related information.
This has been addressed in a few posts and the cade study guide.
Hence, adding LDAP as an external system is not an exotic assumption

Any opinions on the following statement?
To address asynchronous handling of business logic one can assume a MOM solution is the preferred solution.
Hence, adding MOM as an external system is not an exotic assumption

Arnold, in regards to LDAP, as you might have already read in threads that members assumed that it exists and they passed the exam. Now we don't know the reality whether they passed because of LDAP assumption or they passed because they did extremely well in other sections.

I like SSO thru LDAP very much but only when it's really required. Otherwise it's a pain in the neck to deal with synchronization process etc. I did not use LDAP and provided my DB based solution. It could cost me from performance point of view but certainly benefits me from over burden. I mentioned in the assumptions that if there are many systems needs to be interconnected using SSO then LDAP would make more sense and I would consider that in my solution.

In regards to MOM, yes it's a good approach to use it if you have large number of messages for the integration (like notification to the user about all over bids) and I would assume the EMS kind infra exist in the company. Also if I need to deal with few messages only which are result of user actions (like approval of one bid by bid manager), the Queue on App server might be enough.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
