Hi friends,
I would like to know what is the EJB version that should study for OCPJBCD 6 (or CX-311-093 Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Enterprise JavaBeans Developer Certified Expert Exam) exam. Is it EJB 3 or EJB 3.1?
Is there a huge difference between EJB 3 and EJB 3.1?
I bought the book "EJB 3 In Action"(first edition) published by Manning press for preparing this exam, but later I saw the recommended book in this forum for the exam is "OReilly Enterprise JavaBeans 3.1". Therefore I would like to know whether the "EJB 3 in Action" first edition book is enough for studying for the exam.
Thanks & Regards,
Manjula

There is no OCPJBCD 6 exam. There is OCP-JBCD 5 exam (based on EJB 3.0 and includes JPA). Then there is OCE-EJBD 6 exam based on EJB 3.1 and this does not include JPA. You might want to take a look at Oracle Java Certifications page to see the exam details.
HTH,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the information. I thought OCP-JBCD 5 exam is based on EJB 2.X. And I didn't know there is a significant difference between EJB 3 and EJB 3.1.
Thanks & Regards,
Manjula
