can any body suggest good struts resources online for learning from scratch

If you're using an IDE such as MyEclipse or Net Beans, I'd suggest finding a Struts tutorial based on the IDE you're using. Just Google "Struts Tutorial NetBeans" or "Struts Tutorial MyEclipse" to get a list of them.
