If you need an application that helps you produce timesheets, have a look at tempoblue, available from www.bigcoolblue.com - and let me know what you think. I found the book "Filthy Rich Clients" by Chet Haase and Romain Guy fantastic for learning how to approach this kind of project.
 
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
