Chapter 9 - Cade's book - class diagram question

One question regarding the Class diagram(Figure 9.3) mentioned in the Cade's book(second edition):

Why the AvailabilityNotice class do not shows <list>bids as member variable (though there is one to many relationship with Bid class) ?
Also the required APIs like getBids are not listed anywhere in the class diagram.

The relationship is showing it so the member variable is redundant. Similarly, not all getters/setters are shown.
