I've got placed in [name removed]. i already had 2 backlogs in my 2nd year which i cleared before appearing for interview and thus got placed.
the problem is that i got a backlog in 7th semester too. i will clear it before the joining date. but i violate the criteria of the organization of only 2 backlogs during engineering and passing final year in 1 attempt. will i face any problems during joining...and what should i do...

@Jeanne: Backlog is when you fail a subject and have to clear that in the next semester.
@OP: I think instead of worrying about this you should focus on clearing them. Personally I do not think they would be cross checking once they have selected you. If you are all clear while joining, that should be it. ATB

Interesting. I have never seen that word used in that regard before.

Interesting. In the US we call that failing a class. It is on the transcript but not the diploma so employers don't see it. It doesn't factor well into one's average though.

How will the latest backlog enter the picture ?
If you dont make it to that company, then you will get opportunities in others easily - IF your aggregate is above 60 %. Anything less than that can make matters difficult in off-campus placements.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
