That isn't a Spring question, that is a Tiles/Java question. This is the Spring forum.

This exception occurs after I've upgraded from Spring 2.5.6 to 3.0.5. So, somehow spring is involved, or I'm I wrong ?

Possibly. I hate tiles myself, so I avoid using it. (Bad experience I had in the past) Anyway, since it was all Tiles classes and javax. classes makes me think it might not be Spring specific, but can't be 100% sure, if you are positive that the only thing you changed was the Spring jar files. It could be that the jar file dependencies changed, and I mean down a couple levels of dependencies. You know how one dependency could depend on another third party, which could depend on another third party and we are down four levels of pom files, and one of thise down deep is a wrong version of a third party jar file, and it needs to be excluded.

Stuff like that happens.

Wish I could help more.
