Always learn what is the latest in Spring. Unfortunately, lots of people use older material and get bad habits and old ways of doing things where there are better easier, cleaner ways of doing it to day.

Spring In Action third edition is the best book out there. It is being released this month, but you can sign up to the MEAP program at Manning.
Spring Recipes from Apress publishing is a good book too.

Good Luck

Check out the official Spring documentation on springsource.org. It is very readable.

Also try this Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/koushks. There are some introductory videos on Spring there that might help you get started.

Is this your YouTube channel, or someone you know personally?

Thanks
