I am using a DocumentBuilder to validate an xml document against a schema. I am wondering if there is a documented list of possible validation errors that you can run into somewhere? Is it W3C that defines these validation errors?

That's a good question. I looked in the XML Schema Recommendation (not all that easy to track down) and found this link: C.1 Validation Rules. Was that the sort of thing you were asking about?

I think that might be as close as I'm going to get, thanks. I was just wondering if there was documentation somewhere of all the possible validation errors that could be thrown. I couldn't find anything on that.
