When should I use a HashMap or a TreeMap, and, when should I use a HashSet, or a DeQue?
What are the practical applications suggested for the Collections?

A Map, a Set and a Deque are very different data structures. Do you understand the difference between them? The API documentation of those classes also contains detailed information about them.
