As far as the syntactical construction is concerned, it is a valid schema document all right.

View it in a web browser. Also create a XML with this schema definition and view it in a web browser.

How do I view XSD file and XML file in web browser? Sorry, I am really new to the technology.

XML Schemas and XML-based documents are simple text files. To view them in a HTML browser, you would enter the file location in the browser's address textbox. Many commercial HTML-browsers include an XML parser and will parse an XML file if it recognizes it as such.
Your browser may not recognize an XML Schema's "XSD" file extension however.
