I have used JBuilder 2006 for a long time but the time has come to either get the latest JBuilder or go with Eclipse. I like to know what does JBuilder provide that Eclipse doesn't? If you have experience in both I am very much interested in hearing from you. Thanks in advance.

What I liked about JBuilder was that it had a rudimentary WYSIWYG interface for designing and maintaining JSF views.

What I didn't like about JBuilder was that it seemed to require projects to conform to its own unique file organizations, which is something that no other major IDE does anymore.

Overall, you'll get better support from Eclipse. Even Oracle itself produces Eclipse plug-ins.

Its their GUI builder that kept me using JBuilder2006 so long. I understand their JBuilder 2008 and later version are all built on Eclipse platform. If the support on Eclipse forum is good, then that settles the issue for me.

A last question, is there a GUI builder that I can use with Eclipse?

I believe that JBoss Tools provides a GUI editor for HTML and JSPs.
