Email with arabic characters displaying junk

I have a Struts application for Arabic users. Users can enter their credentials like name, id etc in arabic. On submitting this page, these details need to be sent in a mail to someone. The problem is the arabic name / id is appearing as junk in the mail... 
I am using oc4j application server. I am sending the mail using a procedure. Can somebody suggest a solution?

I'm not sure which forum will be best for you.
I am sure the JSP forum is not.
Moving to Struts.
The moderator there, may feel this would do better in the Other Java APIs forum (where the JavaMail questions are usually sent).
