Push notifications, Web services and Multitasking

I have been learning the objective-C and programming for iphone recently. I looked at the TOC for the book and it looks like the authors have covered nearly all the essential topics. I have currently been running in to circles with different books for one thing or another and tired of buying books . This book looks great but I am very much interested in looking at Chapter 14,15,16,17 and 21,22. I would love to see how authors have explained these topics. I still cannot get hold of push notifications, multitasking and sometimes consuming web/URL based interactions. It'll be great if someone can point me to a good resource for these topics.

You can go through the chapters which you have mentioned from “iOS4 in Action” to get a good understanding about them. Once you do this and
if you are a registered Apple Developer, then you can go to and watch WWDC 2011 videos provided in HD to further solidify your understanding of these topics. It will also help you to keep yourself updated with latest developments in iOS5. The videos provide a lot of useful information.
