Title is pretty self explanatory. Is it a good idea doing only the EJB cert and skipping the servlet/jsp part ?

Hi,
I had a similar question or confusion when I finished scjp and started looking at Java EE.
You can look at that thread here webpage.
If you are asking on whether to take up cert for servlets/jsp or not, then it depends on your work requirements and interests.
And out of my experience, knowing servlets/jsp is not required for EJB certification. However, knowing them will give a complete picture of the Java EE framework as such. And more importantly, when trying out practical examples related to EJBs, you would need to test them from servlets/jsp. For a basic understanding of these, what I have done is to look at a few chapters on these from my favourite head first collection - "head first servlets and jsp" book.
Hope that helps you in deciding.
