jsf 2.0 tomcat 6.0 maven

Hello guys,

i am new to java server faces and using maven i build one simple project and it's war file.i deploy that war file to tomcat 6.0 and also include 2 library files that is needed to run java server faces in to the r8 folder of the tomcat 6.

the deployment is successful but when try to start that project error like"Message: FAIL - Application at context path /application name could not be started"

has come.


please help me and tell me what is going wrong...

Hi All,

Can we run the JSF on Tomcat?
or Do we really need the WebLogic Server for it?

I've been running JSF on Tomcat since about 2006 and JSF2 for probably at least 2 years now, using Tomcat version 6.


An IDE is no substitute for an Intelligent Developer.
