Hello,

ERROR:
======
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\apache-tomcat-6.0.18\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes>ja
vac *.java
AppointmentMethods.java:65: cannot find symbol
symbol : variable deptId
location: class AppointmentMethods
deptId+"' target=mainFrame\">"+

^
The following code works but..

the problem is I need deptId in two places one to show date/time of the concerned dept in right corner mainFrame
and same deptId I need for post form to create new appointment by inserting data into db.

If I am doing like the following code....

then on deptId==>submit() it call post form.

How can I use deptId for both forms?

Best regards

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
