How to set value of html textarea tag

Hi Folks,
I'm trying to develop an application using JavaBeans ,servlets and JSP. So far ive used only text boxes and drop down boxes ,and mapped them to my bean properties using the value attribute
like

But what do I do with a text area as it doesn't have a value attribute?
