I'm preparing now for SCWCD 1.5 certificate. but I hear some news about exam material and mock exams were changed by Oracle. kindly if you have any hints or certain news about this certificate pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease let me know about. as you know exam code is changed to 1Z0-858 I'm looking for reply
I am also preparing for WCD 5 exam(1Z0-858) and I don't think that there are any changes in the objectives. At least I am following HF - Servlets & JSP book and all the objectives covered there are almost matching the ones listed here Exam Objectives(1Z0-858)
The only change that I know about is the time limit, but I think that it is because there are no drug & drop questions anymore at the exam, so the time that you need will be less.
If I am wrong I would be grateful if someone can correct me,

I have just stumbled upon some old objective points that are removed from the current ones:
7.3. Write a code snippet using the following EL operators: aritmetic operators, relational operators and logical operators.
7.4. For EL functions: Write a code snippet using an EL function; identify or create the TLD file structure used to declare an EL function; and identify or create a code example to define an EL function.
I had hard time to decide on which exam to go
The only scary thing is that there are no dedicated books for the new version. I am a little bit pressed by the time and concerned if I would manage to dig the whole missing info from the specifications(btw thanks to Pedro for the valuable info ).
Anyway, once I finish HF S&JSP book I will probably reconsider my decision once again
Maybe I will change my mind.
Another tempting privilege is that the new exam makes you Oracle EXPERT but if you cover the old one you are still Oracle PROFESSIONAL. Not to mention that passing score of the new is lower(only 60%) whereas for the old one is 72% and number of questions is less.

Thats the best part actually. You get to achieve more attempting less.
And about servlet 3.0 specifications practice, you can always refer to the mock test link that Pedro has created for WCD exam seekers. If you are not aware of that yet, here it is : JEE 6 SCWCD Mock Exam
This link will cover most of the things for you. But yes, I agree. There are some tricky additions to the 6th version and it will surely take some time. So decide depending on the amount of time you have in your hands.
