Any idea if Mig Layout made it to 7? I had voted for it and I hope it has. Very powerful and easy to use.

I don't see it under the implementing classes of LayoutManager.

What would be gained by adding it to the core libraries, except for making those even bigger? I think quite a few libraries were added over the years where it would have been better not to include them, like java.util.logging and java.util.regex. If good 3rd party libraries exist, why hamper further development in that space by including them in the core libraries?

(As an aside: is that list to be taken seriously? Support for some new formats in JMF -which is dead- is 2nd highest? If those are the highest-priority items, I say the language is good for eternity.)

((Also just noticed that the highest-ranked of the Top 25 Bugs dates from 1998 - LOL! It looks like everyone serious about bugs and enhancements has decamped to OpenJDK by now.))

I think if it was part of the "official" java, it would get widespread attention. I really think it is a good and powerful layout. After viewing many threads about people getting confused either with the concept of layouts or with which layout to use, I found Mig Layout comes closest to "natural thinking" in terms of alignment and placement.

Couldn't agree more Maneesh... I also voted for MigLayout to make it in. Best LayoutManager there is!
