For those paying close attention, we've already had a promo for this title. Since printing got delayed and when the third edition is being published gets asked regularly around here, we've invited the author back. Welcome back Craig and congrats on the soon to be printing of your book!
I read summary about it. It is good book to start and clear concepts.
A person who just want to work with spring and start to work with spring. I think this is the one and only good book.
After reading the book, you can go thru spring reference documentation.
Hope this help to new person for spring.
Thanks.
Narendra Shah.

Hi. In this welcome post to Craig, it says we should read the book promotion page to up our chances of winning a free copy of the book. But that link is dead! Or at least it goes to a page not found notice. Can you please advise an alternative link? Thanks

Hi,
That link is working good for me. Might be you have some firewall issue. Can you try from some other machine. And this is the only book promotion page.
I bought the book as soon as it hit the shelves, and I would really thank you for such a great book: well organized and great flow of ideas and well explained examples.
I'm really enjoying reading it, thanks for your great efforts.
Ranchers: thanks for getting such a book and an author here, that enriches the forum

Good morning and thank you all for the welcomes. I look forward to getting around to answering your questions and I will do my best to get to all of them.
But I should go ahead and let you know that I'm more likely to answer questions in the evening hours (Texas time)...I like most of you have a day job that demands my time and I'm super busy today trying to push out a release (Spring Social 1.0.0.RC2...keep your eyes peeled for that today). Assuming that goes well, I should be able to get to all of your questions in the evenings and throughout the week. I appreciate your understanding.

You too Craig? Looks different/glad to see that you are also sailing the same (development) boat!

I just wanted to mention that not only is Craig the author of Spring in Action, but:
1. Spring in Action is the biggest selling Manning book of all time
2. He's also the lead of the Spring Mobile project, so even though that's not covered in the book, be sure to ask if you have questions about that
3. He's an excellent speaker and cute to boot (just don't tell my wife I said that)
Glad to see you here, Craig

Hi Craig,
Welcome to Java Ranch and congratulations on the 3rd edition of the book.
I am completely new to Spring and planning to start my learning with this book. From the reviews on the book I definitely believe that's going to be a pleasant reading. Thanks for the nice book.

Thank you very much Craig for writing out the much sought out resource for Spring 3.0
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
