Get the remaining part of a line of text in BASH Shell

Consider the following text,

XML Message after final transformation

Please let me know in Unix, the Bash shell expression/script (without using sed/awk/etc...) that will return the following when the word after is passed as paramter.

final transformation

One restriction being, delimiter (space) should not be considered.
