I would say HeadFirst for Servlets and Jsp is THE best book for SCWCD.

I don't understand why you don't find that book intersting.

you could also also Hanumant Deshmukh.

"THE best book for SCWCD" - for SCWCD 5. What about SCWCD 6?

Thanks Ashwin for your response.
I know its weird but it teaches in a comic way and with some stories.
From the certification point of view which one would be better..??
Hanumant Deshmukh OR Head first jsp and servlets.

Yes, 310-085 exam (OCE JSP and Servlets JEE 6).
Information about this: http://www.coderanch.com/t/528601/java-Web-Component-SCWCD/certification/Information-OCPJWCD-SCWCD-CX

I pass SCWCD 5 two months ago. I prepared by excellent book "HeadFirst for Servlets and Jsp", but this book is for SCWCD 5.

Yes, the latest version is SCWCD 6(OCPJWCD 6 1Z0-894).
I don't think that there is a dedicated book for the 6-th version.

Thank you all for the response.
If there is no dedicated book for SCWCD 6 then i better appear for SCWCD 5.
Head first it is then.

Hi Tushar,

My first book from First Head was Design Patterns and I was confused by the way this book was written but now I think it is definitely helping me to remember all the important peculiarities.
I would say that the FH approach is ingenious.

I would give HF Servlets and JSPs a try.

Study Guide for JEE6 WCD exam

This s what I feel after reading ranchers feedback and my own analysis....

Keep HF Servlet JSP 2nd Edition as the base. Read the relevant changes / additions in Servlet 3.0 and JSP 2.2 specification... JSTL version has not changed in JEE 6? so in my opinion we can fully depend on the coverage done by HF.

Besides HF mock exams, enthuware mock exam seems to be good. I have bought that just few days ago, not yet fully explored.

Execute codes pertaining to the new areas to get the feel of it....

Well... haven't sat for exams yet, so consider this only as my preparation method...
