Connection timeout in URL connection

I want to fire particular url through java. code is put here.

        URL oracle = new URL("http://www.mySiteName.com");
        URLConnection yc = oracle.openConnection();
        BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
                                new InputStreamReader(
                                yc.getInputStream()));
        String inputLine;

        while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null)
            System.out.println(inputLine);
        in.close();

        
    }
}

When i am using this code, "Exception in thread "main" java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect" comming.

Please do the needful.

Can you open that site from a browser? If so, does the browser use a proxy?
