Hi all,

i need to create a program which will help us authorizing the traveler's check.
We have a printer and reader which will read the traveler's check, magnetic number. (just like any normal check's magnetic number).
It will now validate through the bank that the check the is original and valid and what amount(possibly).
I would like to know how could i do it or if someone has done something smiler , please share the information with me.

any thoughts, suggestions or code will be helpful. At the moment I don't have much idea how to do it in Java.

I think your question is too broad to get much traction here. You may need help anywhere from installing the JDK to how to compile a basic program to how to set up an ODBC connection to any of a million other possible points.

You'll get the most help here if you ask specific, focused questions with sample code you have written that illustrates your problem.

There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors

to be more specific. We have a reader which reads the Traveler's check and It has a JavaPOS based interface. I know how to set up JDBC connection and stuff.

I want to know how can i interact with JavaPOS to get info about traveler's check and how can i authenticate the information is true? Do i need to call any web services to authenticate the check?
I agree. Here's the link:
