Hi All,

I have a scenario that for every frequent interval(lets say every 10 mins) system should send a request to another system and get response.

Please give a suggestion to what could be the best solution for this periodical interaction.

Thanks,
Rajasekar

Hi Deepak,

I have to design a system that should send a request to external system and get a response for every x mins?

The communication between these system is through WS.

Thanks,

A batch process is one way to do it. But whether it would suit your needs is another question. You will have to apply the right approach based on the problem statement presented to you

I think you should have a compelling reason to go with a "competing" open source product over something built into JEE since this is the JEE exam.

I used EJB Timer for that purpose in my assignment. In real life I am using Quartz , but as Jeanne pointed out its always better to stick to JEE stuff in the exam
