Hi all,

I am learning Struts 1.2. I want to learn Validator Framework. Where can i get any sample codings or exercises foe learning Validator and Tiles Framework.

And also what is the best book for Struts and Hibernate for newbies.
Is there any online tutorial for Struts and Hibernate.

And, I want to know where and why to use hibernate. Whether Hibernate is likw EJB?

This Article is a good place to start. Also check the Struts User Guide.

There's nothing special about using Hibernate and Struts together. Just learn both technologies separately, and it will become obvious to you how to integrate them. This article shows an example of integrating Struts and Hibernate.

Hello Mark

i can give my suggestion to learn both frameworks but related with books, better structured and examples than a url

for Struts , the book of james holmes http://www.jamesholmes.com/StrutsTCR/
and for hibernate "Hibernate In Action"

the fisrt books is simple and complete in my opinion i can give 4.95 of 5 stars

the second book is considered the bible of Hibernate

Hibernate is better than Entity's (EJB) ,why? better performace and more easier, where? is commonly used for the model layer (objects DAO), inclusive the EJB 3 is based with Hibernate

Regards
Manuel
