Please does apache derby need to be pointed by system DNS/Data source ,because i could not find the driver to connect to the derby database. Iam using window 7

You couldn't? I used "derby jdbc driver" for my internet search keywords and here's the first link I got: Derby JDBC driver, which tells you about it.
