hi javaranchers,
I am getting below error when i am doing connection pooling in sturts using tomcat5.0 server.

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.BasicDataSource

I searched in net but i did not get any related jar file.

You will find it in the commons-dbcp-1.x.x.jar file avaialable here.

Having said that, it is my strong belief that it is not a good idea to use the Struts DataSource utility. You are better off defining your DataSource as a JNDI resource using Tomcat's interface and then doing a JNDI lookup for the DataSource in your code.
